Dead for a Dollar

1897. In the course of the film Dead for a Dollar, seasoned bounty hunter Max Borlund travels deep into Mexico, where he meets Joe Cribbens, a professional gambler and bandit who was once Max's sworn nemesis and whom he had previously sent to jail. Rachel Kidd is the wife of a wealthy Santa Fe businessman, and Borlund's job is to rescue her and bring her back to her husband. Max is finally put in a position where he must make a decision after learning that Mrs. Kidd has actually escaped an abusive marriage. He can either finish the dishonest job he's been hired to accomplish or he can step aside while ruthless mercenary outlaws and his long-time rival close in... Max is ultimately forced to choose. If they choose to put up a fight, Max and his colleague Alonzo Poe will gain nothing, other than perhaps their honor.
