A wounded criminal and his dying partner hide out at a castle that is on the sand. In the beginning, the owners of the castle don't want to have the criminals stay there. They are a meek Englishman and his stubborn French wife. There are some funny and weird changes in how the criminal, his wife, and the Englishman interact with each other right away, but they happen quickly.
