Concrete Plans
Five builders are brought together in the distant Welsh mountains to repair a vast old property. Tensions quickly simmer between the guys and the self-entitled aristocratic owners, as well as among the ragtag collection of men themselves, since they are housed in moldy portacabins. Dave, a world-weary old timer, and Foreman Bob, a nice guy, struggle to keep the peace. His nephew Steve, on the other hand, is swayed by bigot Jim, and the two take a dislike to Viktor, a Ukrainian laborer. As the weather gets colder and payments fall behind, tempers flare. There's been a lot of bloodshed. Jim makes an incredible pitch as the blue-collar men face an increasingly dark spiral of moral choices.
