Coconut Hero
Mike, a sixteen-year-old, has it especially tough. In Faintville, a Canadian forest hamlet, he lives in the sticks with his naggly mother. Not even a favorite food. His main desire is to vanish off the face of the world. In his obituary, Mike shoots himself. He wakes up in the local hospital, much to his dismay. During a regular test, physicians find a plum-sized brain tumor. Mike can't believe his luck and hides his sickness to avoid a life-saving procedure. But facing mortality changes Mike's perspective, and he reassesses both enchanting and crazy Miranda. After all, someone gets him.
