A tragic series of events linked the fates of three Catholic priests a few years ago. From that point on, they have gathered on the anniversary of the accident to commemorate their survival each year. Each day has its own set of highs and lows for the couple. Lisowski is a young woman who works at the curia in a large city, has a successful job, and has a desire of working at the Vatican. Archbishop Mordowicz, a wealthy church leader who is using his political influence to construct the largest sanctuary in Poland, stands in the way of his plans. Trybus, the second priest, is a parson from the village. He ministers to a disadvantaged neighborhood and, as a result, succumbs to human frailties on a larger and more frequent basis. Kukua is also having a difficult time. Despite his strong religious convictions, he loses the confidence of his parishioners almost immediately. Within a short period of time, the stories of the three pastors will come together once more.
