City on Fire
As an undercover police officer, Ko Chow has to deal with a lot of pressure. His boss, Inspector Lau, wants him to infiltrate a gang of merciless jewel thieves; in order to achieve this, he must collect some handguns; his girlfriend wants him to get married or she would leave Hong Kong with another boyfriend; and he is being sought by other cops who do not know that he is a colleague. Chow, on the other hand, prefers to resign from the police force altogether. In spite of being friends with people who are murderers, drug traffickers, loan sharks and protection racketeers, he feels horrible about betraying them: "I perform my job but I betray my friends." Further aggravating his situation, he develops feelings for Gangster Fu.
