A flight attendant named Sydney has a lot of fun when she helps an unaccompanied minor get to Chicago so that her father, a handsome widower and reporter, can see her for the first time in a while. Sydney is stuck in the Windy City for a few days because there aren't many flights out of the city. She goes with Jonathan, his daughter, and their merry family until she can find a connecting flight. Jonathan makes her a deal: he helps her find out how her parents met, and she helps him write the perfect Christmas story and keep his job. Sparks start to fly between them as they go.
