S. Lance Ingram, a repentant gang boss, struggles to adjust to a new Harlem upon his release from a ten-year jail sentence. Lance is forced to accept a career delivering meals for a local food bank due to his inability to employ the technology talents he acquired while incarcerated. This is where he meets Ms. Maddy, 75, a former beauty with an acerbic and hardened exterior who he delivers dinners to. Lance discovers hope in her, rediscovering the joys of life and living despite the culture in which they find themselves.
