Diane McCarthy (Leah Pipes) is a reality television producer who works on her pompous ex-trip boyfriend's show. Diane swerves off the road on her way to her next task and becomes stuck as a storm approaches. She notices the Forest Cove bed and breakfast in the immediate vicinity. Helen (Lindsay Wagner), the owner, offers Diane a complimentary room while her car is being serviced. Diane accepts Helen's offer of shelter and meets Helen's attractive son Andy (Rick Malambri). Diane alters her plans for the upcoming episode in order to devote more time to Forest Cove. Helen is ecstatic and expects the concert will generate much-needed revenue. Andy is opposed to it as he prepares to sell the faltering property. Andy and Diane bond despite his misgivings as they prepare for the show. However, things become difficult when Jared, Diane's ex and the show's host, comes and throws a wrench in the works.
