Campbell's Kingdom

Adapted from Hammond Innes' novel of the same name. On his grandfather's death, Bruce Campbell (Dirk Bogarde) inherits "Campbell's Kingdom" in the Canadian Rockies. He has been diagnosed with an undetermined fatal disease and chooses to see if he can uncover the oil that his grandfather claimed was present on his land and clean his family's name; his grandfather was wrongfully convicted of fraud when his oil exploration company failed. Owen Morgan (Stanley Baker) is the CEO of a business building a dam that, when completed, will flood the "Kingdom." It's a race against the clock to show that the oil exists before the dam is built.
