When "Star Trek" premiered in1966, it sparked a wave of futuristic wonder in the minds of its audience. Space shuttles, cell phones, and desktop computers, among other futuristic devices featured in the show, are already a reality. We're also working on things like warp drive and teleportation, as well as tricorders for medicine.
