Brothers of the Wind

The eagle's way is to have two chicks. The stronger will always be the one to kick the weaker out of the nest. Man has his own methods, which frequently harm those closest to him. Lukas is tormented by a father who has become distant since the death of his wife. The youngster, who was killed while rescuing the infant Lukas, now bears the responsibility of her death. The narrative of our eagle begins in the nest. His weaker brother is pushed to his death on the woodland floor by the first-born chick. But fate intervenes, and Lukas locates the young lady. Lukas gives the creature the name Abel and raises him in secret, finding love and company that he lacks at home. Will Lukas find his own release into a new life when the time comes to release Abel back into the wild?
