Blood Paradise
Robin Richards (Andréa Winter), a best-selling crime novelist, is sent by her publisher to the Swedish countryside in an attempt to recapture her inspiration after her previous novel flopped. There, all by herself, she encounters a strange cast of characters, including her driver and most ardent fan, his explosively jealous wife, and the increasingly insane owner of the farm where she is staying. For one thing, she's always dressed for a fashionable, big-city lifestyle. But Robin soon realizes just how deadly these oddballs may be. It's Patrick von Barkenberg's first feature-length film, and he plays Robin's boyfriend, Winter. The film is filled with beautiful atmospheres and splattered with quirky humor, yet Winter keeps your attention rapt.
