With Eurydice's revenge-seeking fiancée Mira behind them, young lovers Orfeu and Eurydice flee through the Rio favelas during Carnaval, dodging hitmen in Death-inspired disguise. Featuring music composed by young Brazilian musicians Luiz Bonfá and Antonio Carlos Jobim, this depiction of the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice was the first to introduce bossa nova to the globe.
