Be with You

When two souls cross paths, nothing can separate them. After the death of his wife and mother Mio, widower Takumi (Shido Nakamura) lives a tranquil life with his six-year-old son Yuji (Akashi Takei) (Yuko Takeuchi). Yuji never forgets her vow to him: "I'll be back with you in a year, when the rains arrive." Takumi and Yuji are out for a walk in the woods on the first anniversary of her death when they stumble upon a woman sheltering from a monsoon downpour. She bears a striking resemblance to Mio, but has no memory of who she is or what she is doing in that location. Family life resumes where it left off, but Takumi and Mio's first encounter in high school floods their minds. Their new life together, however, is disrupted when Mio's old diary is discovered, revealing the mysteries of her past and how they must say farewell once more in six weeks...
