Asteroid: Final Impact
Although a fatal meteor storm has been characterized as a one-time celestial phenomenon, astrophysicist Steve Thomas believes that something more worse is yet to come in the form of a comet. Steve discovers that his asteroid monitoring satellite is being secretly utilized for military surveillance and decides to disclose the information to the press, which results in the loss of his reputation, his career, and his friendships. Steve's family is threatened by the fallout from his decision to be a whistle-blower, just as he discovers a threat to the entire globe: a gigantic dark asteroid that is invisible to current detection systems is on its way to strike the planet. Steve is unable to use his own satellite to confirm the asteroid's presence, so he is forced to operate in the shadows in a desperate attempt to save humanity from certain annihilation.
