Andrey Tarkovsky. A Cinema Prayer

In the documentary, Tarkovsky recalls his life and career, and he does so in his own words, sharing with the audience his recollections, his perspective on art, and his musings on the fate of the artist and the purpose of human existence. The film is a documentary. The viewers are given the opportunity to appreciate and reevaluate the great director's work as well as his inner life thanks to the existence of some incredibly rare audio recordings that enable them to completely submerge themselves in the mystical realm of his cinematic picture. This tale is supplemented by recordings of poems by Arseny Tarkovsky, one of the finest Russian poets of the 20th century and the director's father, spoken by their author. These recordings have never before been made public.
