Andrei Rublev
This film is an expansive Russian drama about the life of revered religious icon painter Andrei Rublev. In a turbulent era, the peace-seeking monk eventually gains a reputation for his art while drifting from place to place. However, after witnessing a brutal battle and becoming unintentionally involved, Rublev takes a vow of silence and takes time away from his work. As he begins to heal his troubled soul, he re-enters the world of painting.
