Jo Hauser, a physician and recreational soccer player, relocates to Berlin to work as an intern at a renowned clinic, hoping to expand his knowledge and expertise while also assisting his handicapped brother Willi Hauser. He becomes a member of a secret brotherhood of doctors led by Prof. Muller-LaRousse, who is doing research on the use of bionic muscles in humans without regard for ethics or the law. Additionally, the squad is a volunteer for the experiences and is being investigated by Paula Henning. When Jo falls in love with a Filipino nurse and develops an addiction to the medications used during the experience, he discovers the truth about the secret society's tactics for scientific advancement.
