Derek Vineyard has been released from prison after serving three years for killing two thieves who attempted to break into and steal his truck. We learn that before going to prison, Derek Vineyard was a skinhead and the leader of a violent white supremacist gang that committed acts of racial crime throughout Los Angeles, and that his activities influenced Danny immensely. Derek, now a free man, cuts ties with the gang and vows to prevent Danny from following in his footsteps.
