Bucum Jackson (Cube) is a bounty hunter with a lot of attitude and no desire to work alongside another person. Jackson's tactics of tracking down low-life criminals are unconventional, but they work, and he aspires to one day become his own boss and create his own private investigative agency. Reggie Wright (Epps) is a cunning con artist who constantly evades the police and Jackson. The two stumble upon a multi-million dollar diamond robbery during a cat and mouse chase. While evading Jackson, Wright ends himself in the thieves' getaway van and is forced to flee when they discover their haul is false, much to the chagrin of their cruel boss (Flanagan). When Wright meets up with his lover (Mendes), he realizes that he is the single winner of $60 million with his freshly purchased lottery ticket. Unfortunately, his wallet containing the ticket was left in the thieves' van, and he convinces Jackson to assist him in recovering it.
