Ali: Fear Eats the Soul

Cleaning lady Emmi Kurowski is getting on in years, and she's feeling the effects of it. Her spouse passed away several years ago, and she has no close family members left. She strikes up a friendship with Ali, a middle-aged mechanic, after going to a bar popular by Arab immigrants. After a few months of dating, their connection blossoms into something more, and Emmi's family and neighbors aren't happy about it. They are soon forced to face their own doubts about the future.
