Nadine is a twenty-year-old French woman. Fausto is a young Italian man who is attempting to make a living as a restaurant waiter in Paris. They happen to run into each other in a five-star hotel by chance. Both are frail, alone, and preoccupied with the idea of achieving an unachievable level of fulfillment.
