There are thirty African-American players in the National Hockey League, out of a total of about 600 players. Hockey sensation Mattie Slaughter, a member of North Preston's predominantly Black population, aims to reach the age of 31. When it comes to reaching his goal, Mattie must keep a clean nose and stay out of trouble. Being single while attending an all-black high school, dating your older brother's hustling sibling, and loving on a lady who's already dating someone isn't easy.
