High school senior Seth McArdle (Samuel Davis) has a lot going on in his life. When his mother and father died, he was left to raise his baby twin sisters without a mother or father to look after them. After receiving a foreclosure notice, Seth's frustrations break over into numerous fights with the school football team, which exacerbates the pressure. Seth is sent to work with Abel, the quirky groundskeeper, after school by an irritated coach (Kevin Sorbo). However, as time passes, they begin to see that there is a lot more in common between them than either of them had previously suspected. But there's a drawback: they're all too willing to share their misery with each other. On the plus side, they are beloved by God.
