A Star Is Born

Drunken, failed rock musician John Norman Howard falls in love with unknown singer Esther Hoffman after witnessing her perform at a nightclub where he was drinking. As soon as he allows her to perform a few songs at one of his concerts, she becomes the buzz of the music industry. Esther's star is beginning to shine brighter, while John's is continuing to dim. She tries everything she can to get John to become sober and concentrate on his music, but it may be too late to save him.
