In 1944 France, an American Intelligence Squad tracks down a German Platoon that wishes to surrender rather than die during Germany's final military offensive. The two groups of men, who are now cut off from the conflict, put aside their animosity and spend Christmas together before the surrender plan fails and both sides are compelled to attack each other.
