Nerdy Carla, the beautiful coworker of Walter Paisley (Dick Miller), works at a beatnik café. He is a bad busboy who doesn't fit in with the other people there. To try to get her attention, he makes a bust of her. To avoid being accused of being an animal abuser, he covers the body of his landlady's cat in plaster. But when Carla and her friends fall in love with the art Walter made, he decides to make bigger and more complicated pieces with the same method.
