Ben Wade and his violent gang of thieves and murders plagued the Southern Railroad in Arizona during the late 1800s. When Wade is apprehended, Civil War veteran Dan Evans, who is trying to survive on his drought-ravaged ranch, volunteers to deliver him alive to the "3:10 to Yuma" train, which will transport the murderer to trial.
