Based on the true story of the Richard Speck assassination. Warren Stacy began murdering women because his odd conduct leads in rejection from innumerable women. He always does so while naked, which minimizes any physical evidence left behind. Detective Leo Kessler is sure of Stacy's culpability and, over his partner's protests, plants evidence to convict him. When Stacy is released on a technicality, he threatens to pursue Kessler and his family, leaving Kessler to defend himself with scant assistance from the police.
