The Tick: The Animated Series is a television series based on the New England Comics superhero The Tick. The series premiered on the Fox network's Fox Kids block on September10,1994, and was responsible for introducing the satirical comic book character to a mainstream audience. After three seasons, the final episode aired on November 24, 1996. The Tick has since been syndicated by various networks, boosting the show's cult appeal, and has been released on VHS and DVD. In 2001, a live-action series was produced.
