Late in the 10th century, the Liao empire goes to the zenith of its power. The divine Liao guideline much of what is now Northeast China, Mongolia, Russia, and a lot of the Oriental Peninsula. Prime Minister Xiao Si Wen and Princess Yan have 3 daughters, with the youngest, Xiao Chao, their favourite. As the Emperor's queen, she becomes a tough protector of the Liao by aiding in mobilizing the army, heading a 10,000-strong cavalry and also providing support to the civil administration. Eventually, she will gain the title of Empress.
