The Kids in the Hall
The Kids in the Hall are Canadian sketch comedians Dave Foley, Kevin McDonald, Bruce McCulloch, Mark McKinney, and Scott Thompson. Their show ran on CBC in Canada from 1988 to 1994 and on CBS and HBO from 1989 to 1995. The theme music was Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet's "Having an Average Weekend." The group made Brain Candy in 1996. The group reassembled for tours and festivals in 2000. They released Death Comes to Town in January 2010. The name of the group originates from Sid Caesar, who, if a joke didn't go over, would blame "the kids in the hall," a bunch of young writers lounging around the studio.
