The Hard Times of RJ Berger is a David Katzenberg and Seth Grahame-Smith MTV comedy. The show's main character is RJ Berger, an unpopular Ohio sophomore with a huge penis. Berger's greatest pals are Miles Jenner, whose fame ambitions collide with Berger, and goth girl Lily Miran, who lusts over Berger. Berger's love interest is Jenny Swanson, a cheerleader linked with jock and bully Max Owens. The coming-of-age story has been compared to The Wonder Years and Superbad by Katzenberg and Grahame-Smith. The pilot episode aired on June6,2010, and the first season ran for 12 episodes. The Hard Times of RJ Berger's second season debuted on March24, 2011 and ended on May30,2011. MTV canceled the show in August.
