Butch Hartman is the brains behind the animated television series The Fairly OddParents, which airs on Nickelodeon in the United States. Timmy Turner, a young kid of ten years old, is the protagonist of this story. Timmy is given two fairy godparents by the names of Cosmo and Wanda. Oh Yeah! Cartoons first aired the cartoon parts that would later become the series between September 4, 1998 and March 23, 2001. The series was subsequently picked up for further production. Since the sixth season, the show is also produced by Billionfold, Inc., in addition to Frederator Studios. Nelvana International, a Canadian business, was in charge of its distribution in countries other than the United States throughout the show's first four seasons. The Fairly OddParents has been on the air for more than 16 years, making it the longest-running fantasy TV series in the history of American television. It also holds the record for being Nickelodeon's second longest-running animated series at this time (behind SpongeBob SquarePants).
