Stand Up for the Week is a British television comedy series that is broadcast on Channel 4, and it features stand-up comedy performances that are relevant to current events. The first season of the show ran on Friday evenings and consisted of six episodes; the second season of the show, which began airing in March 2011 and consisted of seven episodes, moved the show to screen on Saturday evenings. Patrick Kielty served as the host for the inaugural series, and regulars Jack Whitehall, Kevin Bridges, Andi Osho, and Rich Hall were among the cast members. Bridges took over as host of the show after Kielty's departure for the second season, and Jon Richardson was brought on board as a regular cast member. Richardson took over as host of the show for the third series, which began airing in late2011, and in addition to Rich Hall's return, a completely new group of regular performers joined the show. These new performers included Seann Walsh, Sara Pascoe, Josh Widdicombe, and Paul Chowdhry. Rich Hall was replaced with Andrew Lawrence for the fourth season of the show. Chowdhry will take over as host for the fifth season of the show; however, it is currently unknown who will replace him or whether any other regulars have been replaced.
