There's a brand new show on A&E called Shipping Wars that premiered on January 10th, 2012. Following six independent carriers who have discovered that hauling products that traditional carriers cannot or would not tote can earn them millions, the show tracks their exploits on-screen uShip, the largest online auction house for independent truckers in the world, is also featured in the show. We have Marc Springer and Roy Garber as our featured bearers for Season1, and we also have Jennifer Brennan and Jarrett Joyce as well as Suzanne and Scott Bawcom for Season 2. As of Season2, Christopher Hanna and Robbie Welsh have taken over from the Bawcoms. Season 3 began airing on December 12th, 2012 on Syfy. Chelsea Grant and Courtney Aguilera, two new shippers, make their debuts in Season 4. As part of a normal episode, the shippers bid on two separate uShip jobs. This means that each client has a choice between hiring someone at the lowest price and someone who has received positive feedback from past clients. Any ties will be broken in favor of the carrier who has received the most positive feedback on their product. Loading and delivering cargo on time is the primary goal for winners. Feedback from customers is provided in real time as the shipments are made. A total of each carrier's net profit or loss is shown on-screen at the end of each episode after subtracting each carrier's expenses. In some cases, a carrier will arrange to haul additional loads on the same journey, with the extra money figured into his/her total.
