Rescue 8 is an American action-drama series that focuses on the Los Angeles County Fire Department's Rescue Squad 8. It premiered in 1958 and ran for two original seasons, with syndication repeats lasting for over a decade afterward. Jim Davis portrayed firefighter Wes Cameron, who was eventually featured as Jock Ewing on CBS's Dallas, while Lang Jeffries as firefighter Skip Johnson. Nancy Rennick and Mary K. Cleary featured in twenty-four episodes as Skip Johnson's wife and daughter, Patty Johnson and Susan Johnson, respectively. The series was created by filmmakers Dann Cahn and William Witney and produced by Screen Gems. Rescue 8 produced seventy-four episodes of half-hour length.
