Tsumiki Miniwa is in love with her best friend, tall and laid-back Io Otonashi. Miniwa is small, but she can pack a punch. The only problem is that she can't get herself to come out and say it. Even though he can usually read her like a book, Io doesn't seem to be able to pick up on the obvious signs, even though all of their friends joke that there's no one better for them. Acchi Kocchi shows how Tsumiki and her group of friends live their everyday lives. Tsumiki's friends will never let her forget about her crush, what with Mayoi, the electronics nerd, Sakaki, the good-natured prankster, and Hime, who always gets nosebleeds. But only time will tell if Tsumiki will finally be brave enough to say what she really thinks and feels.
