In 2010, Lee Tim-shing conceived and produced No Regrets, a TVB Hong Kong television drama that premiered in 2010. It first aired on the Jade and HD Jade networks from October 18 to November28,2010, with a total of 32 episodes. A double-header of the final two episodes aired on November 28th, 2010. Rosy Business, the second-highest rated show on Hong Kong television in 2009 after the award-winning Rosy Business, has a companion piece, No Regrets. It is one of two big TVB productions used to celebrate the channel's 43rd anniversary. The other was Gun Metal Grey. Both were the first Hong Kong dramas to be shown live with English subtitles. Set in the late 1930s and late 1940s in Canton, Republic of China, during World War II, No Regrets is an epic drama that focuses on a triad family, the Canton police force, and the Japanese occupation of the city. In Mandarin, the title of No Regrets translates as "Veiled Heroine, Ruthless Hero: Righteous Sea, Heroic Passion," which refers to the war and the difficult relationship between Cheng Kau-mui and Lau Sing, the two protagonists. Eleven TVB Anniversary Awards were given to the show and its cast, with four of them going to the winning team. The awards include Best Actress for Tang, Best Actor for Lai, Best Supporting Actress for Fala Chen, Best Supporting Actor for Mak Cheung-ching, and Most Improved Male Artist for Raymond Wong. Additionally, No Regrets receives numerous accolades and accolades, including all four Mingpao Weekly awards for television programs, the first Shanghai Television Festival nomination for a Hong Kong television drama, and two supporting actor prizes at the Asian Television Awards.
