Playful Kiss is a 2010 South Korean romantic-comedy TV show starring Jung So-min and Kim Hyun-joong. It aired on MBC from September 1 to October 21, 2010, at 21:55 on Wednesdays and Thursdays. There were 16 episodes. It's based on the Japanese manga Itazura Na Kiss, written by Tada Kaoru. The Korean series is the third TV adaptation of the manga after Taiwan's It Started With a Kiss in 2005 and its sequel They Kiss Again in 2007. Even though Playful Kiss had low ratings in South Korea (between 5 and 7 percent), it was sold to 12 countries in Asia. Due to the show's popularity around the world, a short special episode was shown on YouTube after the series ended. The story is about Oh Ha-ni, a clumsy student who falls for Baek Seung-jo, a perfectionist. But Seung-jo doesn't care about her and rejects her love.
