As of February15,2008, NBC's Las Vegas was a popular American television show that ran from September22, 2003 through February15, 2008. Various aspects of the fictional Montecito Resort & Casino's working environment, such as valet parking, restaurant management, and casino security, are the subject of the show. In the beginning, the show ran on Monday nights, but NBC eventually moved it to Friday nights, first to 9pm Eastern/8pm Central and then to 10pm Eastern/9pm Central, where it remained until the end of the season. After a long run of back-to-back weekday episodes, the show was relocated to a graveyard time slot of 4 am and subsequently completely withdrawn from TNT's lineup in July 2013. Ex-CIA officer Ed Deline, who was once Head of Security at Montecito, now serves as President of Operations, where he oversees the casino's day-to-day activities. In Season5, Danny McCoy, Ed's old protégé and a former Marine, took over as President of Operations at the Montecito. After the fifth season, NBC canceled Las Vegas, leaving the series with a cliffhanger.
