Fashion Star is an American reality television series on NBC that was created by Rick Ringbakk and is hosted by Louise Roe. In the inaugural season, Elle Macpherson hosted. The contestants compete to make the greatest outfits while being limited in time, materials, and theme. Each week, one or more designers are ousted after their creations are judged. NBC renewed Fashion Star for a second season on May 11, 2012. Season 2 debuted on Friday, March 8, 2013. NBC canceled Fashion Star after two seasons on July 27, 2013.
