Endurance is a children's reality television show that aired on the Discovery Kids cable network in the United States and on international networks. The format is identical to Survivor on CBS, but with a youthful cast. Endurance competitors live in a remote location and compete in a variety of mental and physical challenges. They compete in pairs, and the outcome of the competitions determines which pair of players is eliminated. Each season of the show, which aired from 2002 to2008, began with a fresh set of players who were gradually eliminated as the season went until only two teams were left to compete for all of the Endurance Pyramid pieces. The prize for the winner boy and girl was an all-expenses-paid trip to an exotic place with their parents. The sixth season's final episode, which premiered on March 8, 2008, marked the conclusion of production. Endurance reruns will be broadcast on Hub Network, Discovery Kids' successor, until July 22, 2013. The show was brought back for repeats on April 2, 2012, but was then discontinued. On weekends, Azteca America broadcasts Spanish-dubbed reruns. Endurance was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for "Outstanding Children's Series" three times, but never won.
