Originally written by Kamiyama, it's the first original series from the noitaminA stable. In a limited release on September26,2009, the TV series Eden of the East Compilation: Air Communication was released in theaters nationwide. In addition, there have been two further theatrical releases. First Eden of the East: The King of Eden and then Eden of the East: The Movie II: Paradise Lost were released in Japan on November28, 2009 and March13, 2010. According to Funimation Entertainment's North American distribution agreement, the TV show and both movies will be available in North America. As of the 27th of December,2010, it was broadcast for the first time on the FUNimation Channel in North America.
