Damages is an American legal thriller TV show that was made by Daniel Zelman, Glenn and Todd A. Kessler, and their brother, Todd A. Kessler. The story is about the smart and ruthless lawyer Patty Hewes and her student, Ellen Parsons, who just finished law school. Each season focuses on a big case that Hewes and her firm take on, as well as a new part of Ellen and Patty's complicated relationship. The law firm Hewes & Associates is the focus of the first two seasons. As Ellen starts to move away from Hewes & Associates and start her own career, the later seasons focus more on her relationship with Patty.
