Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior was a CBS drama that aired for a brief time. The show launched in 2011 as a spin-off of the popular Criminal Minds, which debuted in 2005. The profiling team for this edition also assisted the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Behavioral Analysis Unit in Quantico, Virginia. During the fifth season of Criminal Minds, the previous team met the new team and worked together to find a serial murderer in San Francisco in an April 2010 episode. This episode acted as the backdoor pilot for the new series. CBS controlled the underlying North American rights, as did the parent series, but ABC owned the foreign rights. The show debuted on February 16, 2011, and aired directly after the original Criminal Minds at 10 p.m. On May 17, 2011, CBS announced the series' cancellation. The series comes to a finish on a cliffhanger. CBS DVD released the whole series as a four-disc package on September 6, 2011. It's labeled "The DVD Edition." There are a slew of extras, including two episode commentaries with the cast and crew. The collection includes the original show's backdoor pilot from Season 5.
