Axle City's best racer is AJ, a young techie who pilots the monster truck Blaze. AJ is only 8 years old. The two embark on journeys together, during which they face challenges that need them to use their scientific and mathematical knowledge. Crusher, Blaze's competitor, is a tractor-trailer who would stop at nothing in his quest to cross the finish line ahead of the other cars. Crusher is responsible for many of the challenges they must overcome. The computer-animated series is being marketed as the first television show for children in the preschool age range to teach subjects such as science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in an all-encompassing manner. In each episode, viewers are introduced to a new STEM idea, such as buoyancy or trajectory.
