Agony
TV show Agony aired on ITV between 1979 and 1981 A popular agony aunt, Maureen Lipman acted in the film, but her personal life and marriage were in a state of disarray. Len Richmond, Anna Raeburn, Stan Hey, and Andrew Nickolds collaborated on the story. ITV's ITV network commissioned LWT to produce it. Anger dealt with forbidden topics such as drug usage and racism, but it was the first British sitcom to represent a gay couple as noncamp, witty, educated, and happy people who were not stereotypes. In addition, it openly mocked the government, the ruling classes, and religion, and occasionally featured dark and tragic plots.
