6teen is a Canadian animated sitcom that has been on Teletoon since 2004. In the United States, the first episode of 6teen aired on Nickelodeon on December 18, 2005. It was taken off the schedule on May 13, 2006. 6teen was shown on The N in reruns from December 26, 2005, until July 28, 2006. Then, from December 31, 2007, until June 21, 2008, it was shown on The N as a 24-hour channel. After its premiere on October 23, 2008, 6teen was shown in the US on Cartoon Network. Since its debut on October23,2008, Cartoon Network showed 6teen several times a week. It was taken off the schedule in the middle of November 2009. Then, in mid-February 2010, it came back and was shown more often. It was taken off the air again on June 21, 2010, when the series ended. In January 2011, 6teen came back to Cartoon Network for only one month. It was taken off the schedule, along with other shows that had been canceled, because the schedule was changed. Popgirl will sometimes show it. In the last episode of the show, "Bye Bye Nikki, Part2," the theme song was redone by Brian Melo with an acoustic sound. There were a total of 93 episodes of Sixteen. Both Canada and the US have put out DVDs and music on iTunes. Even though the show is over, Pertsch and McGillis have both said they would be open to making a two-hour reunion telemovie or a full-length movie. As of now, it is not on the schedule for Cartoon Network, but episodes are available in some areas through Cartoon Network on Demand. On January3,2011, 6teen came back to Teletoon with reruns.
